CARIBOU began playing music in 1974. CARIBOU, fronted by identical twin brothers Bill and John Keeling is celebrating its’ 41st year of performing in the region.
Since exploding on to the Louisville music scene in the early 70’s, CARIBOU has continually wowed audiences. In their forty- one year history CARIBOU has appeared at just about every major club, festival, corporate function and music venue in Louisville and the region. CARIBOU has played at more parties and special events than can be counted. Beginning with straight-ahead rock ‘n roll in the seventies and eighties, adding more pop and dance tunes in the late eighties and nineties, CARIBOU has culminated into the full-blown, brass - accompanied dance band they are today.
CARIBOU is a seven-piece band featuring a full horn section with trumpet, trombone, and sax. The group has been a favorite at the Kentucky State Fair, the Kentucky Derby Festival Chow Wagons, and Horseshoe Casino So. Indiana, numerous TV appearances, corporate parties, booster club dances and wedding receptions.
The group’s repertoire includes songs by funk artists from back in the day like Rick James, The Time, Earth Wind & Fire and Prince and current artists like Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars. CARIBOU even plays modern country tunes by Luke Bryan, Florida/Georgia Line and Tim McGraw!
